I have been on a miniature printing and painting binge! Over the course of the past two months I have nearly doubled the number of miniatures in my collection. Some by 3D printing freely available or low cost models, and some by eBay purchases.
For those of you interested in printing miniatures for your games here are a few sites you can browse:
One artist has gone as far as developing a catalog of almost every monster available in the D&D 5E Monster Manual and deserves a special shout out. So make sure you check out his page at https://www.myminifactory.com/users/mz4250
Michael and I recently had an opportunity to attend our first TwitchCon, held September 19-22, 2024 in San Diego, California. We went several days ahead of the 'Con, as neither of us had been to California previously, and we wanted to take in as much of San Diego as possible.
TwitchCon itself was packed, with some 23,000 people in attendance. Being a first timer, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can say I was not disappointed. I attended as many stream-building sessions as possible, with a heavy focus on Roleplaying Games and Makers & Crafts. The end result is that I will be ramping up my streaming efforts with everything I learned!
As for our vacation time in San Diego - we spent a lot of time walking! Since we hotelled in the Gas Lamp Quarter almost everything was within walking distance. And what wasn't within walking distance was easily accessible by light rail. The two most memorable moments for me were the two-hour boat tour of San Diego Harbor and the highly respected San Diego Zoo. I recommend both for anyone visiting San Diego!
After years are humiliation and scrabbling in the dirt for a meager existence, several goblin tribes have come together under a King. This unified tribe now poses a larger, more menacing threat to both nearby towns and travelers.
Why have the goblins banded together, and what nefarious activities are they planning from this new base?
Stay tooned!
(And pardon my messy kitchen table, this has been a major work in-progress, and will be completed and appearing at a Friendly Neighborhood Gaming store near me soon!)
Recently both Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) have made changes to their Live Streaming features that are to the detriment to new and small streamers alike. Here's a quick recap, and what we are doing to overcome this situation, and how you, our reader can help us out!
X (formerly Twitter)
X made the decision several months ago restricting live streams to Premium subscribers only. At first I let it lie, but believe it or not, I actually saw it affect my viewership on Twitch. Who knew that people were seeing the live stream on X, and then clicking over to my Twitch stream to watch live? So after seeing the impact (and the underlying data), I went ahead and pulled the trigger on Premium, and we are once again live streaming to Twitch and X simultaneously.

Facebook on the other hand is a bit more problematic. Their new rules require that in order to stream live (either scheduled or not) you have to have a minimum of 100 followers on your page. I am a far stretch from this amount, so it's going to be a while before I can resume live streaming to Facebook. But I promise you that day is coming!

We appreciate all you can do to help us spread the word!
